My name is Delaney, and I’ve been tattooing for about two years and I’m completely obsessed! My favorite style to work in is black and gray realism, but I also love tattooing in a variety of styles, including fine line, color realism, neo-traditional, illustrative, or even a mix of realism and illustrative. Some of my favorite subjects to tattoo are pretty much anything nature related, like flowers, plants, fruits, vegetables, pets, animals, skulls, portraits, and nature scenes. I’m always open to trying something new or working in a different style too.
Although I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue tattooing, I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to continue growing my knowledge and experience in the art world. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Grand Valley State University, studying studio art and illustration. My favorite classes were always drawing and painting, where I found so much inspiration in realism focused artwork. That love for realism, and everything I’ve learned along the way, has really carried over into my tattooing and become one of my most valuable skills I use every day. Going through countless class critiques also helped me become adaptable, especially when it comes to making design adjustments. I love creating and sharing tattoo concepts with my clients and then seeing those designs come to life once they’re tattooed.
I’ve loved drawing and creating art for as long as I can remember. I’ve pursued it in every way possible at just about every stage of my life. Through most of middle, and all of high school, I spent most of my time in the art room drawing or doodling all over my homework. Eventually, I started drawing on myself and my classmates with Sharpies (by their request, of course!) I would then go home and spend hours painting while sitting on my bedroom floor, completely ruining the carpet after years of paint splatter or spilling. (sorry mom and dad)
My life outside the shop is just as busy as my tattoo life. I love spending time with my pets, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I also enjoy listing to music, audiobooks and podcasts, especially while hiking with my dog, Dice! Some other hobbies of mine include, painting, reading, yoga, photography, and kayaking.
